I learned so much new information about Black immigrants and refugees from the U.S. to Canada from colonial times through 1865 when traveling in Nova Scotia. I bought several books - histories and memoirs- in Halifax at the immigration center. Canada was safe - but not exactly welcoming to Black men and women. I plan to go back. Thanks for this travel journal.
