This is really powerful, and somethingbI have also thought of doing. We must never forget, and it is more important to be truthtellers at a time that they are trying to erase the truth. ✊🏻
Tom DeWolfe! So glad you are doing this and writing about it. When you are soon to pass through Boston area, please GET IN TOUCH! (Same phone number & email). I live in an apartment in Arlington, MA now & I would love to see you both!!
Hi Lucy! Thanks for the encouragement. Our route doesn’t take us into Massachusetts at all. We’ll head north from NYC to Albany and then west to Buffalo. Albany is the closest we’ll come. You can see a map here: https://www.menare.org/freedomwalk2026-about
Thank you for doing this walk in the name of all of us who support our commitments to the concepts of equality and freedom and justice for all. May you receive many blessings along your path. 🙏🙏🙏
Will you be able to provide a map? I’m really curious about the towns along the way and how the Underground Railroad might have altered or influenced their history. Oberlin, Ohio is a case in point.
Hi Dave… yes, folks can click on the link in the post (or here: https://www.menare.org/freedomwalk2026-about) and scroll down to see the overall route. That’s the basic route. Specifics on our daily route will not be publicized due to security concerns, but the main cities/route is there.
I’ll be following you every step of the way!
Thanks, Jim! Hard to believe this is all starting so soon!
